Industry-like brief

"What I Want to be When I Grow up"

This is the title to our new project! But instead of environments it can now be ANYTHING WE WANT! (to a certian degree). We could have picked 3 industry standard briefs. Reading the briefs brief A and C seemed the best. Brief A was based around modelling a garage for a computer game. This had to be in both low, medium and high poly. Brief C was quite interesting because it involved a number of different characters to be modelled.

Brief A seemed better though because I'm quite interested in computer games and having the requirements of polycounts made this project a lot more interesting.





I decided to not choose either of these though and create my own. To keep it more like the industry set briefs I decided to use Brief A as a partial base for my project.

This is my first draft of my brief..



To sum it up I'll be taking a couple of characters from an old computer game "X-com Apocalypse" and will be modelling them in both low and high quality. The reason for this (not just copying the brief :P ) is that the low poly model will be designed around using in a modern computer game engine. This is for the actual gameplay. The highpoly models are designed for videoclips/movies for the game of character screens. Of course all of this is for a hypothetical modern version of the game.
